AUGUST 2002: The National Panamanian Friendship Reunion (NPFR) Board of Directors would like to thank each and every Panamanian who traveled to Ft. Lauderdale in July to attend the National Panamanian Friendship Reunion. Over 2000 Panamanians came together to celebrate our shared history and culture.

We appreciate the enthusiasm you had for the weekend's events, your patience with the long lines and your willingness to give us your feedback. We are a small nonprofit board made up of dedicated volunteers, and we rely on your suggestions and support to make the event successful each year.

Reunion proceeds from the 2001, Long Beach, reunion were awarded in the form of scholarships in the sum of $1,000. each to Jaunita Collier, Maria Davila, Farisha Herbert, Veniska Hurdle and Tonya White and $2,000 donation to DICPNY ( The Day Of Independence Committee of Panamanians in New York Inc.)
