
The
Kojo Scholarship program was created to assist Panamanian youths
who are pursuing higher education. the scholarship is named in honor
of one of the original members of the National Panamanian Friendship
Reunion, Inc., Victor Kojo.
Kojo was born Victor Robert Moses on March 22nd, 1953 in Colón,
Republic of Panama but changed his name to Victor Kojo after traveling
to San Andrés, Colombia to trace his roots and discovering
that his great, great grandfather's name was Kojo. He lived on 13th
Street Amador Guerrero, Colón and attended Abel High School
and Instituto Politécnico de Colón. In 1971, he migrated
to the United States and joined the US Army. He served 21 years
of active federal service.
Kojo Died May 25th, 1993. His mother is the late Ione Moses and
his father is the late Clement Moses. He is survived by his wife
Maritza and by his daughters Dhayma, Fayola and Soyini. |
